From MasterChef to Wine & Cheese Specialist: My Culinary Journey

Some stories begin with a single moment. Mine began in a small kitchen, long before cameras, competitions, or workshops. Just me, flavours, and a feeling that food could express what words sometimes couldn’t.

In 2010, that quiet passion carried me onto the stage of MasterChef India Season 1. Standing under those bright lights, cooking with everything I had in me, and eventually becoming Runner-Up changed more than my career, it changed the way I saw myself. It pushed me to dream bigger.
I went on to write The Daily Gourmet Cookbook, start The Culinaria a cooking school in Dehradun, India. Build The Daily Gourmet, an artisanal brand born from the belief that food should feel honest, warm, and crafted with heart.

When I moved to Singapore in 2019, I found myself irresistibly drawn to the elegance of wine and cheese. What began as an interest quickly became a calling. I immersed myself in formal studies for WSET Levels 1, 2, and 3, now pursuing the WSET Level 4 Diploma. Alongside I completed Levels 1, 2, and 3 at the Academy of Cheese, where I’m now honoured to be a Fellow and on the path of studying for Master of Cheese .

Fraise et Fromage [fraiz-ay-fromaj] was born from everything I adore about food: connection, curiosity, and the thrill of discovering something new. My workshops are modern, stylish, and completely hands-on. They’re designed for people who want more than a tasting and that is they want an experience. One that’s guided, elegant, and genuinely fun.

Fraise et Fromage isn’t just about wine and cheese. It’s about sharing knowledge in a way that sparks curiosity. I love teaching, and it’s why I created my Cheese Appreciation Class for Kids. It gives young learners a chance to explore the world of cheese far beyond cheddar and edam, opening their senses to new flavours, textures, and stories. Watching children discover something new and truly understand it is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

For me, wine and cheese aren’t just pairings. They’re conversations. They’re moments. They’re stories shared at a table.
